Chaos and Coffee

A Day in the Life of a Freight Broker: Where Chaos Meets Coffee

Welcome to the world of freight! It’s not just spreadsheets and late-night phone calls—it’s a rollercoaster, and coffee is the only safety harness.

6:00 AM – Coffee: The Lifeblood of Freight Brokers

First thing’s first: coffee. Because when you’ve been up since 5 AM but still feel like it’s bedtime, caffeine is your best friend.

8:00 AM – The Email Tsunami

You open your inbox, and boom! A freight hurricane. Late deliveries, wrong pickups, and cryptic emails from drivers. You’ll solve them all before noon—or at least, pretend you will.

10:00 AM – The Quest for On-Time Drivers

Will your driver show up on time? Who knows! Late trucks? It’s just another Tuesday in freight. When they finally arrive, you may even high-five them… if they’re not too busy cursing the traffic.

12:00 PM – Lunch? More Like Calls and Crisis Management

Lunch? Forget it. It’s all calls and problems. A warehouse lost a shipment? Sure, we’ll handle that too—right after answering a call about some "new tech" in logistics (because we needed more things to juggle).

2:00 PM – A Load That (Probably) Won’t Make It On Time

You tell the client, "It'll be there on time!" and then spend the next hour praying the truck doesn’t break down or get lost in a fog of GPS confusion.

4:00 PM – The Unicorn Moment

When everything miraculously goes right—on time, no issues—it feels like spotting Bigfoot riding a rainbow. Rare, but when it happens, it's pure magic.

5:00 PM – The Never-Ending Day

You log off, but the texts keep coming. Drivers have last-minute questions, and clients want updates. So much for "closing the day"—it's just one more round of emails before you can finally rest. Or not.
